Purchased and installed a Remove Before Flight Red SaBellCo 2016+ Toyota Tacoma Tailgate Lock - Anti-Theft Lock V2.0.

First things first...this is absolutely worth every penny I paid for it. High quality item. Powder coated red paint. First rate!

And no, I do not work for the company...

Install was a breeze. Kudos to whoever at SaBellCo who had the company make the installation instructions available by scanning the Quick Response (QR) code included on the bag. Genius.

Also, the sticker (with one extra in the bag) to go over the lock to protect the lock from the elements … also genius.

This is the best product on the market for the 3rd Gen Toyota Tacomas in my humble opinion. Great job SaBellCo.

Long version:
Purchased a black Sabellco tailgate lock for my 2017 Toyota Tacoma.

Installation was straightforward and easy. Due to the tight tolerances, to get the lock to properly engage, I had to give it a slight tap downwards with a rubber mallet. Once I did that, the lock was tightly held in place and wouldn't come off. The lock won’t wiggle or vibrate at all.

One evening, after returning from work, I closed everything up on my truck, but forgot to lock it. Sure enough, that night, someone prowling around in the neighborhood attempted to take my tailgate. When I woke in the morning, I came out to my truck to find the tailgate down and one of the support cables removed.

Regardless, I was irritated that someone messed with my truck, but was relieved in knowing that my tailgate was safe and in place where I left it.

If you're on the fence about this lock, BUY IT!!!

Simple installation with perfect fitment once installed. Tip for some, once the unit is installed, the plastic tailgate cover may not clear the relief cut on the lock. Simple fix was to loosen all the screws on the cover in order to shift it up a little until it clears the lock
and lays flat.

Got. my order, 2017 Tacoma, 4X4 Off Road access cab tailgate lock! Excellent. In every way! Took five minutes, that's it! Looks great on my Barcelona Red truck. I'd like to add some photos but ? How? Thanks for a great product. Feel much better even with Pop N Lock installed! P.S. Got the RED one!

Awesome product, extremely visible when the tailgate is open. Highly recommend if you leave your tailgate unlocked.
